10th March Joyce Gang gig in the Globe Inn in Lympstone raised £330. The place was packed and Mark Bradford and friends did a fantastic job warming up. Thanks to everyone who put their hands in their pockets, to Liam for having us, and Jane for doing such a good job shaking the tin.

18th May  Ellingtonia concert, Dartmouth Music Festival, Flavel Centre. There was a sell-out audience in the theatre. I made my speech and met lots of lovely supportive people in the interval including a clarinet playing surgeon from the Royal Marsden and fundraisers for CLIC. £272.15 was raised on the night...so thank you Dartmouth.

23rd June  "The Garden Concert".....a Midsummer afternoon of music in Sue, Dave and Rosie's big back garden in Colaton Raleigh from everyone not at Glastonbury Festival. Here is the poster for the event.

We raised more than £850, which is considerably more than we thought we would when we were struggling to put up a gazebo in a thunderstorm half an hour before the scheduled start of the concert. The weather was dreadful this week and it cleared miraculously for the afternoon. Many, many thanks  to the audience for their generosity, to the musicians for their time and talent, to Margaret and "Team Moger" for running the cafe, our sponsors for the raffle prizes, John for the sound, Casey for face-painting, Ries for setting up, cutting the grass and photos and of course Sue for incredible organisation and several weeks' hard work. Take a look at the gallery to see photos of the event.

1st July   Plymouth Jazz Club, Ellingtonia concert. Another packed concert and a rockin' gig too. The organisers kindly allowed me to fundraise in addition to their normal raffle for the Cornwall Air Ambulance, and £85 was collected by myself and Sue.

5th July   Teignmouth Community College Summer Concert. I run the Jazz Band at this school and we finished the concert with everyone on stage and the audience singing and clapping along. £215.60 was collected at the door as everyone left. I met someone who did the ride last year...he recommended taking lots of chamois cream.
